The Money Saving Mom’s Budget
This book has some easy to follow tips on ways to reduce your spending and pay down your debt. I’ll admit, if you already have a budget that you follow, coupon, only buy things when they are on sale, and know about the drug store game, then this book may be to basic for you. One of the tips I liked was how to go through your entire home, one room at a time, and clean the clutter from your home.
I checked out an audio copy of this book from the library and one of the really nice things included was a PDF with various worksheets and steps to get you started working on your finances. I may not use all of them but one of the things I have been meaning to do for some time is to create a price book. This was a great reminder for me and now I have a printout so there shouldn’t be an excuse of why I haven’t been recording some of this information already.
Overall, if your just starting to work on improving your finances, and even if you know the basics, I would recommend you take a look at this book. Included are some good tips and Crystal breaks down some of the bigger steps into smaller pieces so you can get started working on some of the items right away.
